This is what makes the Onyx special. The body is polished until it becomes translucent, so the light passes through it. The veining lights up in warm amber tones — in a dim room it looks like a candle carved out of rock.
No, and that is what makes it special. Each Onyx is carved from natural marble, so no two lamps share the same veining. Shades and patterns vary, and some stones carry a fine red mineral vein (iron oxide, or hematite) formed in the rock over millions of years. These are natural features of the marble, not surface marks: run a fingernail across a vein and it glides over it.
The Onyx measures 8.5 × 8.5 × 6.3 cm (3.3 × 3.3 × 2.5 in) — about the size of a large candle. It is designed as an accent glow for a nightstand, shelf or table edge, not a main light — small on purpose, so it can live anywhere.
Each press moves through the modes: warm white — the signature amber glow — then red, green, blue and violet. No remote, no app, nothing to lose.
No — and that's on purpose. The Onyx is powered through its USB-C cable (5 V, 1 W, about the power of a night light), so it never runs out mid-evening and never needs recharging. Plug it into a phone charger, a USB port or a power bank. The adapter is not included.
